Rowa Vmax – the compact storage system for maximum capacity
Rowa Vmax is the intelligent storage and dispensing system for modern pharmacies. It impresses particularly with the following characteristics:

• Impressing capacity: A Vmax with a surface of 6 m² can replace 22 drawers
• Maximum speed: Outputting of one or several packages in a few seconds; inputting of up to 900 packages/hour.
• Innovative picking technology: The picking head is able to handle up to eight packages at the same time. A second picking head is optional.
• High flexibility: 3 to 15 metres length, 1.30 and 1.60 metres width, different heights - fits into the smallest pharmacy or a huge hospital dispensary.
• Assured quality and reliability: TÜV and GS certification.

Capacity

Compact storage in the smallest space

The storage of Rowa Vmax is more compact. The system offers twice the capacity of convential storage systems with the same length. Very small distances between packages and the storage of several packages in a row allow up to 4,000 packages per running metre. But see for yourself: We have compared the required space for 8,000, 10,000 and 12,000 packages.

The examples premise a capacity of 600 packages per drawer (= completely filled drawers) and a machine height of 3.50 m. In reality, the drawers often are only fractionally filled, thus a Rowa Vmax can save even more space.

Performance

Speed and precision: The patented V-picking head

Rowa Vmax is working quickly and precisely. Thanks to HD-Multi-Picking®, up to eight packages can be moved at the same time – for inputting as well as for outputting.

With an inputting speed of up to 900 packages/hour and an outputting velocity of only 8 to 12 seconds, Rowa Vmax accelerates the stock management. Packages are directly available for sales after inputting thanks to the intelligent input control system.

Rowa Vmax can be provided with a second picking head optionally. Both picking heads have access to the entire range of packages. With this option, the speed of the system can be even accelerated and each product structure can be covered.

Though, Rowa Vmax is very quiet: with a working noise level of max. 48.3 dB(A), the system is as quite as a good dishwasher.

Layout

Layout and Design

Rowa Vmax is designed corresponding to the interior concept required by the customer – and not vice versa. The system is available in different length, width and height classes. Furthermore, several machines can be combined to powerful multi systems.

Thanks to an extreme flexibility in length, width and height, Rowa Vmax is the optimal partner for the pharmacy. Hereafter you can find an overview about the dimensions:

• Width: 1.30 m and 1.60 m
• Length: from 3.00 m to 15.00 m in 0.50 m intervals
• Height: from 2.00 m to 3.50 m in 0.05 m intervals

Rowa Vmax combines an extreme flexibility with an attractive design. This successful combination of form and function was awarded with the red dot design award 2010 and was nominated for the German Design Award 2011 by the Federal Ministry of Economics.

Quality and security quaranteed

Rowa is the only supplier of storage and dispensing systems on the market certified to use the GS mark. A certified manufacturer must be able to produce its products with a constant level of quality and reliability. The TÜV examinations are voluntary and, in some cases, contain even stricter benchmarks than the regulatory standards.

“The TÜV Rheinland GS mark offers an orientation aid in terms of product safety. It indicates to the customer that the product he or she chooses, including the operating instructions, has been tested and certified as regards its safety,” explains Heiko Schmidt, Head of the Sales and Order Management Department at TÜV Rheinland. “After testing and certifying the Rowa Vmax storage and dispensing system, TÜV Rheinland awarded Rowa the GS mark. The system was tested in terms of its safety and fulfils the safety requirements required to be awarded the GS mark.”

TÜV Rheinland also monitors the production facilities. “The GS mark is awarded only when a product passes every single test and controlling the production facilities plays a major role in this process. The manufacturer must be able to produce its products with a constant level of quality and reliability. To make sure of this, we inspect the production facilities,” says Heiko Schmidt. For Rowa customers, TÜV certification offers additional reliability that no other supplier of storage and dispensing systems can provide.
